⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Why did I sit on this book for so long? Part of it was I didn't want to start another incomplete series, though the 3rd book is coming out this year so now I dont have to wait long. The other part is the hype. I have read a couple of books that just didn't live up to the hype for me and I was nervous this one would fall into that category. I could not have more wrong.

I loved this book. Im not sure if I loved it for the same reasons as everyone else but it was an amazing read. The banter was top notch between all the characters, the romance was good - predictable but still good, I loved the plot and twists particularly one towards the end, jaw on floor. I dont think it landed on a huge cliffhanger, and intriguing ending for sure and I was there for it. I loved it! Definitely an unfinished story and one I can't wait to start. I did listen to this on audio but for a lot of it, I also followed along with the book. I laughed. I teared up. I cried. I was shocked. Callie Hart did an amazing job with this book. I finished this book in less than 30 hours. I woke up my headphones were in, got in the car and it played through there, took the dogs on their walk... yep I was still listening. Now I really hope book 2, Brimstone, is just as good.

I am trying to pick books carefully this year and this one was definitely the right one to pick to continue my streak.
